Kuo Yenfu was born in Taipei in 1979. He was a self-taught painter and writer in his youth, and in 2018 he left his performing career to pursue a life as a full-time artist.
One of the works at display depicts a short sprint, and another a film-based impression. All his works are based on real-life experiences: Kuo was a sprinter in the ‘80s, his family ran a video rental shop and was a TV show actor for more than one decade. Through the
means of painting, the artist hopes to deliver his positive experience and ideals onto his
canvas to resonate with the modern era.
