Anabel Juárez (b. 1988, Michoacán, MEX) works primarily with ceramics. Juárez graduated from California State University Long Beach (BFA, 2013) with a specialty in ceramics as well as the University of California Los Angeles (MFA, 2017). She was the recipient of the UCLA Graduate Division Award and the UCLA Graduate Opportunity Fellowship Program Scholarship, and others. Juarez had a recent solo exhibition at Carolyn Campagna Kleefeld Contemporary Art Museum, Long Beach (2022) and Dive Car Garage, Santa Monica (2020). She has participated in group exhibitions at the American Museum of Ceramic Art, Pomona (2022); Grounds for Sculpture, New Jersey (2022); The Mistake Room, Los Angeles (2022); and The Ruth Chandler Williamson Gallery, Claremont (2022). Her work has been featured in multiple publications including Artforum and Hyperallergic. Her work is in the permanent collection of the French National Ceramics Museum-Sèvres as well as several private collections.
